Tricia’s involvement in sport and recreation cooperative education spans approximately 10 years and encompasses several roles including; academic supervision, paper (unit) leader, and researcher in the field of WIL. As an educator in higher education, her primary goal is to motivate students to become independent life long learners who are open minded, responsible, enthusiastic, and critically reflective thinkers. Her research interests focus on exploring critical reflection as a learning strategy in cooperative education, which was the topic of her PhD. Tricia and her husband Mark keep busy and active running a 110 acre sheep farm in the lovely Waiwera Valley just north of Auckland.
