Originally from Napier New Zealand, Kim has been living in Dunedin for the last 25 years. She has taught in secondary schools, and community health programmes (working predominantly with young children and parents). She has spent the last five years working in a team developing the Bachelor of Applied Science offered at Otago Polytechnic. The degree uses Work Integrated Learning as a key component of each course offered within the degree. She is passionate about active learning and how to facilitate the integration of student course work with student workplace learning to maximise learning.  She hopes to make this a research focus in the near future.
